Excess earwax

Depending on factors such as age, ear canal anatomy, or even genetics, we do not all produce the same amount of earwax.

In addition, our daily lives can further promote higher ear wax secretion: wearing hearing aids, aquatic activities, exposure to dust and pollution, use of earphones, etc.

All these situations engender an accumulation of earwax in the ear canal, which cannot be naturally eliminated: the earwax hardens leading to formation of dry and compact plugs. These earwax plugs are frequently painful, may affect hearing and result in infection.
